Checklist: Planning the Process in Qualitative Research
Actions
Which steps in the research process are appropriate for the kind of study you plan?
Seek to clarify how developed the existing knowledge and research is about your issue of research.
Check what the gaps are in the empirical and theoretical knowledge about the issue of your study that you want to fill with your research.
Check which will be more adequate for your study: a more linear or a more circular process?
Check the procedures in your plan for their soundness: does the methodological plan of your study fit (a) the aims of your study, (b) its theoretical background and (c) the state of research?
How compatible will this kind of research process be with (a) the issue you want to study and (b) the field in which you intend to do your research?
