Learning Objectives

By the end of this chapter, you should
  • know the major components and applications of cognitive theory,
  • know the major components of behavioral theory,
  • understand how cognitive theory and behavioral theory serve as the essential building blocks of CBT, and
  • describe basic interventions that can be informed by the CBT framework.
