Reflective Exercise

Think about the ways in which research findings are disseminated in practice areas.

• What sorts of forums and materials are used?
• How do the staff you work with find out about research findings?
• How do you keep yourself informed?

You might have experienced research being disseminated through the use of posters, research seminars or meetings, research summaries being presented online or in other ways. A number of clinical areas have access to library and online resources, also to local university libraries. In addition, practice areas may subscribe to key journals to help keep staff informed.
