Critical Reading and Writing for Postgraduates
Critical Analysis 4: Bagnoli
This is the fourth of four opportunities to gain more experience in undertaking Critical Analyses, with the benefit of a commentary on how it might be achieved (which you should read after you have completed your own Critical Analysis of the article).
This article offers an opportunity to explore how to evaluate an article where your focus is on methodology (e.g. as part of your literature review in the methodology chapter of your dissertation)
How to proceed:
You should first open the ‘Instructional Text Critical Analysis 4 – Bagnoli’ along with the pdf file ‘Paper Critical Analysis 4 – Bagnoli’.
After you have completed the task laid out in part one of the instructional text, and you are ready to compare your outcomes with our own, open the file ‘Completed Critical Analysis 4 Bagnoli’ to read our own version.
Explore the discussion, in the Instructional Text document, of how we came to our decisions about what to write.
Finally, proceed to part two of the exercise in Instructional Text document.
