Dissertation (Warranting Unit) Logic Check Template

A warranting unit is a sub-part of a dissertation that contains its own literature review, methodology and empirical findings (e.g. reporting a pilot study or one of several investigations jointly constituting the dissertation content).

You can use this template to check that a single warranting unit contains all the necessary components and that they logically link together. See Chapter 21 for more details on how to complete a Logic Check, and Chapter 20 for an explanation of the roles of warranting units in a dissertation

This is a very powerful tool not only for finalising a warranting unit but also for planning one.
