In this video, we look at a more traditional approach to uncertainty – null hypothesis testing. You may have heard of ‘p-values’ or ‘significance testing’, both of which are part of this. Null hypothesis testing calculates the probability that the sample effect size (that we actually have) could have come from a (completely hypothetical) population with an effect size of zero.
