Dr. Todd Shackelford
Dr. Todd K. Shackelford (1971-) is a professor at Oakland University where he heads the Evolutionary Psychology Laboratory. He is best known for his work on psychology of close relationships, competition in sexuality, jealousy and infidelity. Dr. Shackelford’s work is characterized by innovative experiments that have supported evolutionary explanations of human intimacy. His inventive work on sperm competition and human mating behavior has led to many important insights into human rreproduction. He is an editor in chief of two academic journals: Evolutionary Psychology and Evolutionary Psychological Science, and many publications, including The Evolution of Violence, The Evolution of Sexuality and The Evolution of Morality.
