This experiment uses a magnet and water to make it work as a compass. The equipment you will need for this experiment includes:

• Piece of paper with cardinal directions
• A magnet
• A bowl of water
• Small beaker
   

Method and observation:

• Place the bowl of water on top of the piece of paper with cardinal directions
• Place the small beaker with the magnet inside the bowl of water and watch it rotate and point to the north
