Earthworm Observation

Equipment you’ll need:

• Deionised water
• Distilled vinegar
• An earthworm
• Petri dish

Method and observations:

• Observe the earthworm moving. Look for peristaltic movement.
• Soak a cotton bud in deionised water and bring it close, just touching the anterior and posterior ends of the earthworm.
• Soak a cotton bud in vinegar and bring it close (without touching) the anterior and posterior ends of the earthworm.
