‘Hadley Wickham | Maintaining the House that Tidyverse Built’
Question 1: What are the four components of the tidyverse lifecycle?
Answer 1: As discussed in the video, there are four types of statuses for tidyverse functions: experimental, stable, deprecated and superseded. Experimental are new functions or features that are being tested (‘not under warranty’); stable are existing functions with no plans to changes (‘under warranty’); deprecated are past functions that have been removed because they were a bad idea and shouldn’t be used (‘not under warranty’); superseded are past functions that are still a good idea but have been replaced by newer functions (‘under warranty’).
