When You Change the Way You Look at Things, the Things You Look at Change – Wayne Dyer – 3:37 minutes
How we look at the world has a large impact on the world you will create for yourself. Expectations influence perception, actions and the interpretation of reactions. Change at the individual level essentially starts with how we look at and interpret the world and our ability to impact on it.

Ken Blanchard - Change Strategy and Recipients of Change – 2:09 minutes
 “Ken talks about the reality of change in an organization, and why information-sharing, personal concerns, and implementation are the top issues people have when change comes up in their company.” He makes a useful point that the tendency by managers to first point out the benefits of a proposed change is not useful if they haven’t addressed the three major concerns above that most recipients of change have. 

David Letterman Visit to GE After They Bought the Network – 5:35 minutes
Classic video of Letterman’s visit to GE headquarters in an attempt to meet his new bosses and deliver a fruit basket. Can be used to comical introduction to recipients of change, including how our actions influence the reactions of others.

Change is Everybody's Business – 4:20 minutes
Publisher Berrett-Koehler’s Change Authors Series - Investigates choices people make concerning change and how they respond: people can follow and implement; can try to influence change; or can reject the change. As a result, people have a lot of power concerning change. It focuses on helping people understand the beliefs they have about change and understand them, take charge of yourself and use change as an opportunity to develop themselves, and there are actions and skills that will make them more powerful players within the process.  BK Business Book by Pat McLagan.

Three Myths of Behavior Change - What You Think You Know That You Don't: Jeni Cross at TEDxCSU - 18:31
In this excellent video, Jeni Cross argues that our common sense about change is the greatest impediment to change. How to frame information (e.g., loss vs gain), make it tangible, personal (know your audience) and anchored in social interaction significantly increases willingness to change and follow through on it. Changing behaviors to change attitudes, setting behavioral expectations to create follow through, and connecting with values and social norms that are visible and congruent with the desired changes really help.

Margaret Moore talks about how to deal with ambivalence that is keeping people from acting and help them become motivated to move in the desired direction.

The Big Bang Theory - Sheldon hates change - 1:34
A fun video of Sheldon reacting negatively to requests from the university that he change his research direction and to the news that Leonard may be moving out.
