How do we get someone to achieve a sense of responsibility to a work group (i.e. discipline) according to OIC? Do you think it is possible for an employee to experience discipline even while working under simple or technological control?
Colleges are organizations, and being a student can sometimes be comparable to being an employee in an organization. As such, what was your vocational anticipatory socialization like in regard to higher education when you were growing up? What was your anticipatory socialization like? Have you reached metamorphosis? How do you know?
The difference between uncertainty and equivocality is addressed in this chapter. As a reminder, first discuss those differences. Then explain how different the theory would be if there was a focus on uncertainty over equivocality.
