In this experiment, you will see the reaction of lithium when put into water. The equipment you will need for this experiment includes:

• Lithium
• Tweezers
• Beaker with water
• Scalpel 

Method:

• Pick up lithium using the tweezers
• Using the scalpel, cut a small piece of lithium  
• Place the remaining lithium in the lithium jar
• Using the tweezers, place the lithium in the beaker with water
