  1. The Coca-Cola Happiness Machine advertisement. In 2009, Coca-Cola Co. was looking for a new way to connect to young consumers. Instead of spending on traditional media or Super Bowl ads, they came up with the ‘Happiness Machine’ concept. Coke installed a vending machine in a cafeteria at St. John’s University in Queens, N.Y. Instead of dispensing normal sodas, however, the machine dispensed surprises. This video went instantly viral!  In 2013, they placed one of these machines in the student hub at the University of Aberdeen
