In a bid to enhance scale and accelerate global expansion, the Mahindra-Ford alliance would bring on board Ssangyong Motor Company to build mid-size SUVs for overseas markets. It would be a win-win for all three companies. Mahindra and Ssangyong could build scale by offering products to Ford and get incremental volumes.
Until 2022, Volkswagen and its joint-venture partners would be expected to invest US$18b in China on developing electric and self-driving vehicles, and other new mobility services.

U.S. digital money transfer platform PayPal Holdings Inc has obtained Beijing’s approval to buy a controlling stake in a domestic payments firm, which would make PayPal the first foreign firm to enter China’s payment services market.
