Roel Popping is at the Department of Sociology, University of Groningen. His research interests include methodology, with a specialty in text analysis and interrater reliability. He has applied the text analysis methods in particular on historical shifts in public opinion, values, and scientific knowledge, primarily within the context of post-1989 Central and Eastern Europe.
