First things first: Developing a research question and project design

When writing the proposal for the first edition, some reviewers asked me to include a chapter on qualitative data analysis, which I did. After I had written the first edition, reviewers said that the chapter on qualitative method would not fit the rest of the book and that it was too superficial. So we took it out. The reviewers of the second edition, wanted to have such a chapter included again. If I were to do so, I fear that it will suffer the same fate as in the first edition. It is simply impossible to cover qualitative method and analysis in one chapter. This is the version that did not make it into the first edition of the book.
