This chapter contains information about reflective writing. As an illustration of what that means we have provided some examples. The student who wrote these has given permission for them to be included on this website. This is not the only way to undertake reflective writing but is an illustration. Read over these examples and then try some reflective writing of your own. The following are examples of reflective journal entries completed by a social work student. The accounts were used to stimulate discussion within supervision of the issues raised within the practice placement.
