In Chapter 10 in the book, Lesley Storey presents an interpretative phenomenological analysis of the transcript of the interview with the ex-soldier David that appears in Appendix 1 there. You are invited to extend that analysis by applying IPA to the transcript of the interview with Brian in that Appendix and to some or all of the additional transcripts of interviews with ex-soldiers. (See Appendix 1 for the additional interview transcripts from Arnie Reed’s study with ex-soldiers.) Follow the stages that Jonathan A. Smith and Virginia Eatough describe in Chapter 9 and that Lesley Storey describes in Chapter 10.
