I came across a very informative teaching web site that does a terrific job of explaining cardiovascular functioning.  As it happens, this site also provides excellent information about many other aspects of our inner workings. I recommend this site for tons of information.

CAD: The basics
The basics of heart functioning and coronary artery disease (CAD) are provided in the video produced by HeaklthiNation. It gives the basic of how the disease develops, and what some of the factors are that favor the development of this condition.

Primary types of heart disease
In the text we covered several heart problems. This video (produced by Doctors and Health) goes into a bit more detail, covering the five main types of heart problems that occur, and some of the treatments that are used to diminish severe problems.

Heart disease and heart surgery
Heart problems of several types are described in this video offered by ‘Doctors and Health’.  Most readers will know something about heart surgery. You might want a bit more detail concerning what this involves. This video provides an animated demonstration of procedures used during coronary bypass surgery.

Heart attack
What do we mean when we say heart attack? This video (produced by the Khan Academy) goes through a step by step description of what changes occur in the arteries that might eventually lead to heart attack.

Heart disease is the greatest killer of men and women, and stroke isn’t all that far behind. In many ways it is more worrying given the disturbances that persist even if the person survives the stroke. This Nucleus Medical Media production describes several types of stroke, and what can be done to limit the damage that will otherwise occur.

Signs of stroke, and what to do for prevention and recovery
The symptoms of stroke need to be known, particularly by older individuals who are at greatest risk. This video produced by HealthSketch describes the signs of stroke, how these come about, and what needs to be done to maximize the odds of recovery.
