- National Alliance to End Homelessness. Contains research and data on homelessness in the U.S.
- National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI): An advocacy organization for persons with mental illness and their families. This is an excellent educational resource on the various mental disorders and for policy issues related to treatment needs.
- National Coalition for the Homeless: This not-for-profit organization provides policy information, research, and advocacy on homelessness.
- National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA): This website is the government resource for the latest scientific research on alcohol abuse and alcoholism.
