Imagine that you are the Chief HR officer, and you are preparing for a conversation with the Chief Information Officer about revisions to the PM system in a company you are familiar with. Think through the following questions: What type of data are most important for you to collect? What data will motivate employees? What data will be necessary to demonstrate the impact HR has? What data are essential to collect, in order to have a record so that you can discover drivers of performance in your organization? Prepare a memorandum for the CIO on how the data can be systematically collected, archived, and studied in such a way that you can answer the most important questions you are likely to face.
